Gladys received her Bachelors’ degree from DePaul University, Chicago, IL, MBA from Roosevelt University, Chicago, IL and a Master of Arts in Human Development from the Fielding Graduate University, Santa Barbara, CA.

Gladys’ background includes over twenty-five years of administrative healthcare management service in the areas of finance, human resources, hospital administration, medicine, nursing, research and pediatrics. She holds two faculty appointments as an Assistant Professor in both, the College of Health Sciences and Rush Medical College of Rush University, Chicago, IL. In 2002, she joined the Rush University Medical Center, Section of Pediatrics Hematology/Oncology as the Section Administrator; and the RUSH Hemophilia and Thrombophilia Center as the Program Administrator. Her responsibilities in this dual role include patient care, the 340B pharmaceutical factor replacement program, finance and research. Professional memberships include the Association of Clinical Research Professionals, the North American Management Society, National Black MBA Association, Hemophilia Foundation of Illinois, National Hemophilia Foundation, and along with the RUSH Hemophilia and Thrombophilia Center a member of HTRS and ATHN. She joined the Hemophilia Alliance in 2004.

Gladys served as a Board member and member of the Camp Warren Jyrch Committee with the Hemophilia Foundation of Illinois from 2003 – 2008. In addition to her local service to the bleeding disorder community, she participates in patient advocacy with the legislators in Springfield, IL and nationally; on Capital Hill. Her area of interests include coping with bleeding disorders and improved quality of life.
