
Maria earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Urban Studies, a Master of Science degree in Policy Studies/Nonprofit Management, and a Gerontology Certificate from Georgia State University in Atlanta. As Vice President of Finance and Operations, Maria oversees the agency’s pharmacy, accounting, and systems information departments.
Prior to joining Hemophilia of Georgia in September 2000, Maria served as Director of Assisted Living and Alzheimer’s Program for Campbell-Stone Apartments. During her six years with this senior adult community, Maria held a variety of positions including Director of Finance and Human Resources, Director of Social Services, and Service Coordinator.
Maria was born in Cuba and moved to the United States in 1970. She is married to Russell and has two children, Natalie and Nathan.
