Risk Management, Crisis Intervention, and Emotional Freedom Techniques
– Application period October 1st to 31st, 2016 –
The Hemophilia Alliance is proud to announce the 20th Annual Advanced Social Workers Conference scheduled for Thursday February 23rd and Friday February 24th in San Diego, CA. This is a clinical conference specifically intended for Social Workers with direct clinical responsibility in the bleeding-disorders field and have a minimum qualification of a BSW.
This is a two day event and will require a commitment of arrival on Wednesday February 22nd and departing after 1PM on Friday February 24th, 2017.
Travel expenses will be paid for by the Hemophilia Alliance. The Hemophilia Alliance will underwrite each participant’s air travel, transfers to and from the hotel, conference hotel accommodations (room and tax) and the group meal expenses. Qualified applicants will be chosen from the pool of applicants*.
TOPIC: Risk Management and Crisis Intervention: A Closer Look at Human Trafficking
Elizabeth Scaife is the Director of Training and joined Shared Hope International in 2009 and is presently the organization’s lead trainer on domestic minor sex trafficking. She develops and implements customized training curricula for various audiences across the United States on how to identify and respond to victims. Elizabeth has trained federal, state and local representatives of various disciplines, including state policy leaders, and provides technical assistance to Human Trafficking Task Forces in several states. She also coordinates Shared Hope’s national training conference which emphasizes a unique collaborative community approach. On the side, Elizabeth has worked undercover with other professionals to document child sex trafficking in the U.S., appearing on national television.
Prior to joining Shared Hope Elizabeth worked at Adventures in Mission where she held several positions from International Student Outreach Coordinator to Project Coordinator for Katrina Relief. She is a graduate of University of Southern Mississippi. She currently serves as a mentor at Casa Chirilagua where she is responsible for the social and emotional support of an at-risk youth.

TOPIC: Emotional Freedom Techniques
Dale Teplitz has been an EFT instructor and trainer since 1999 and a skilled practitioner for over 17 years, she has helped thousands of lay persons and health care professionals integrate EFT into their daily lives and the lives of their clients.
Trained by EFT founder Gary Craig, and a recipient of his official EFT Certification, Dale assisted Gary in his workshops for ‘Mastering EFT’ and ‘EFT for Serious Illnesses’ and in the creation of practitioner trainings. She is featured in the documentary Operation Emotional Freedom, which depicts the use of EFT with combat veterans for their war traumas.
As the facilitator of EFT trainings for the past 17 years, Dale has helped thousands of lay persons and health care professionals integrate EFT into their daily lives and the lives of their clients. In these entertaining and valuable workshops, she teaches her students how to release core issues to bring balance to stress and negative emotions, resulting in amazing breakthroughs in physical and emotional symptoms and to optimize performance.
