Kathy Stone

Kathy is the Administrative Manager for the Oklahoma Center for Bleeding and Clotting Disorders which is located within the Jimmy Everest Center for Cancer and Bleeding Disorders on the Oklahoma University Health Science Center Campus. She has been in this role for twelve years. Kathy has a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources from Southern Nazarene University in Bethany, Oklahoma and a Respiratory Therapy degree from Malcom X College in Chicago, Illinois.

Kathy’s experience in healthcare includes experience as a respiratory therapist, sales representative for home care and a pharmaceutical sales representative. Kathy is also a licensed Home Health and Hospice Administrator. Kathy has been connected to the Hemophilia community since 1980, when she began working for Quantum Health Resources. In 2006 she became the Administrative Manager for the Oklahoma Center for Bleeding and Clotting Disorders and the Jimmy Everest Center for Cancer and Bleeding Disorders. Today she continues to manage the Hemophilia Team and the 340B program which she began when she started working at OUHSC. Kathy served as a board member for the Oklahoma Hemophilia Foundation for five years and is still active in OHF.

Kathy and her husband Don, have five children and two grandchildren. Kathy and Don are avid OU fans and if OU is playing, no matter the sport, you will probably find them in the stands supporting the Sooners. Kathy enjoys reading and knitting. New babies born to JEC staff members can be seen wrapped in beautiful warm blankets that have been made by Kathy. Kathy also volunteers for CASA as a Court Appointed Special Advocate for children.
