The Clinical Pharmacy Director oversees the clinical pharmacy department at Hemophilia of Georgia. He/she is primarily responsible for supervising and assisting the MTM (Medication Therapy Management) clinical pharmacists and MTM Pharmacy technician in providing MTM services directly with our pharmacy clients. As a member of the multi-disciplinary healthcare team, the Clinical Pharmacy Director collaborates with nurses, social workers, prescribers and other healthcare providers to help clients manage their medications, providing clients the highest quality of care possible to improve their health outcomes. In order to achieve this, the Clinical MTM pharmacist provides one-on-one phone-based consultations with pharmacy clients. The MTM Pharmacist also performs all pharmacist duties including dispensing in the HoG and Beacon pharmacies. The Clinical Pharmacy Director has primary responsibility for ensuring that all pharmacy accreditation requirements are met for both ACHC and URAC. The Clinical Pharmacy Director works with the Vice President of Pharmacy Operations to ensure proper and accurate reporting for all accreditation agencies.

Hemophilia of Georgia operates an annual summer camp program for children and teens with hemophilia and other inherited bleeding disorders. Camp is typically held in July (which may include the Fourth of July) and runs Saturday-Friday, and the date changes each year. Camp is an agency-wide, strategic priority; therefore, all exempt employees must participate. Assignments may include duties at camp, helping campers get to and from camp, and may involve overnight travel. The Director of Camp & Client Events will provide advance notice to exempt employees of where support is needed. PTO requests during the week of camp are generally not approved; however, PTO requests for extenuating circumstances will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis by the Vice President of Pharmacy Operations.
